Bungee Youth Resilience Program

Bungee is an inclusive resilience-building program that promotes emotional wellbeing through the arts. The program supports young people (aged 5-18) to participate in activities designed to build resilience, enhance well-being and social and emotional health. Bungee classes operate across the ACT and are facilitated in a small, safe and supportive group setting.

The Healthy Schools Network ACT is a collaboration of local Not-For-Profit organizations that actively promote health and wellbeing in ACT primary schools, secondary schools and the early childhood years. Our organizations can assist ACT school teachers and educators in many ways, including staff training, class-room resources, awareness tools, recognized programs, Professional Learning, and general support.

Any Body’s Cool is a positive body image health promotion program suitable for Year 7 and 8 girls. Through the real life experiences of five local young women, we explore body image; how this is influenced, how this affects our behaviour and how we can strive to improve our body image and self-esteem. The program also covers media literacy, healthy attitudes towards diet and exercise, the impact of body-based bullying and harassment and gender expectations.
Stress Better is designed to assist young people to better understand stress, anxiety and worry, and the connection between the three. It equips students with tools to manage their stress more effectively. The session is punctuated with the presentation of a real-life story as told by a MIEACT Volunteer Educator who has been living with mental illness.
